Funeral service for Mr. Charles William Young, 91, of Sterlington, LA. will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. J.E. Brown officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe.
Mr. Young was born on October 25, 1932, in West Monroe, LA, and passed away on August 6, 2024.
Mr. Young was a Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was in the Louisiana Skeet Shooting Association Hall of Fame. Mr. Young was an electrical engineering graduate from Louisiana Tech University. He started and maintained leadership of his company, Trio Electic Company, Inc., for 53 years. Both his sons, Joey and Todd, worked alongside him there. Mr. and Mrs. Young were members at First Baptist Sterlington, where he served as a deacon. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Jean Jennings Young; two sons, Joey Allen Young (Lori Jean) and Barry Todd Young (Ellie Jeanette); grandchildren, Andrew Young (Laura), Christopher Young (Emily), Nicholas Young (Bailey), Jacob Lee Young, and Ellie Samantha Young; and six great grandchildren, Camille, Margaret, Caroline, Charlie, Elizabeth and Charlotte.
Memorials may be made to North Monroe International Missions.
