Charles E. "Cha Cha" Young Jr.

Charles E. Young, Jr., 54, passed away on February 1, 2026. Services will be Saturday, February 7, 2026 beginning with visitation at 11 am and funeral service to follow at 1 pm at New Zion Baptist Church, 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive.

Charles Young Jr. was born on October 18, 1971 in Louisville KY to the late Charles Sr. and Renita Young. He was known as Cha Cha to his family and friends. He was the youngest of 3 children.

Cha Cha attended Jeffersontown High School. He was well liked for his laid back personality. Cha Cha never knew a stranger. His friendships ranged all over the city. You could always catch him at California Park Day and Victory Park Day. Cha Cha accepted Christ and joined Zion Baptist Church in the early 2000s.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beautiful daughter, Jazmine Young. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving son James Young; sisters: Penny Young, and Lynn Vaughn (Darryl); Nieces and Nephews: Gerry Young (Ciara), Margaret Young, Tim Young, Desiraee Vaughn, Gerald Young, Jessica Brand, Destiny Fowler (Jaquail); and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
