Charlette L. Godfrey

Charlette L. Godfrey entered eternal rest on January 24, 2026 at the age of 91. She was born on April 9, 1934, in San Antonio Texas, to Charles Edward Jr. and Katie Lee (Rose) Karcher.

While in High School she met the love of her life, Donald R. Godfrey, whom she called Donny. They were married for 56 years before Donny's passing.

She was a Navy wife, Homemaker and wonderful mother.

Mom was the heart and soul of our family and her love for us made every day brighter.

Charlette is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Donald Ray Godfrey; siblings, Violet Nadine Nelson, William E. Karcher, and Gary L. Karcher; grandchildren, Danny Ray Lipsey, Jazz Siebold, and Cooter W. Godfrey; and sons-in-law, Leslie Buddy T. Hans, Jimmy Lipsey, and Jerry Carl Siebold. She is survived by her children Norma Raylene Godfrey of Albany, GA., Debbie and husband Michael Vosburgh of New Braunfels, TX., Donna S. Hans of Boerne, TX., Brenda Godfrey, of Poteet, TX., and Leray and wife Lynne Godfrey of San Antonio, TX; sister, Nancy Ruth Lalliss of Phoenix, AZ; ex son-in-law, Rodney Beaver; grandchildren, Michael Lipsey, John Ryan and wife Brooke Lipsey, Melanie Beaver, Jennifer and husband Michael Burton, David and wife Sara Beaver, Jason and wife Sharon Hans, Shane and wife Michelle Hans, Margaret and husband Michael Centra, Charlette Siebold, Shana and husband Brandon Retzloff, Lance and wife Ashely Godfrey, Daryl and wife Rachael Godfrey, and Sarah and husband Matt Babcock; 30 great-grandchildren, Ethan Lipsey, Zachary Lipsey, Luke Lipsey, Haleigh Burton, Aiden Beaver, Ryan Beaver, Mia Hans, Lane Hans, Ayla Hans, Jacab Hans, Carter Hans, Hadley Centra, Chase Centra, Lynn Knapp, JJ Siebold, Anthony Siebold, David Botto Jr., Vinnie Botto, Mackenzie Weltin, James Weltin, Noah Weltin, Holli Mae Retzloff, Gage Godfrey, Mackenzie Godfrey, Bre Godfrey, Tristen Godfrey, Isabella Godfrey, Lincoln Godfrey, Francis Babcock, and Kiara Babcock; 3 great-great grandchildren, Lincoln Knapp, Wyatt Knapp, David Botto III; numerous other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 beginning at 10:00 A.M. with a funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park South where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved Donald.
