Charlie Brock, 79 of Beverly, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Pineville Community Health Center in Pineville. He was born in Leslie County on January 29, 1946, a son of the late John Berry and Lily Asher Brock. Charlie was a believer in the Pentecostal Faith and had been a member of the Crockett Pentecostal Church and the Jenson Pentecostal Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Charlie enjoyed farming, coon hunting, and gardening. He had worked for Komer Steel Mill in Chicago, Red Bird Mission, and Sandy Fork Mining Company.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his sisters, Edna and George Wilder, Ethel and Ardill Caldwell, Sarah and King Brock, Hazel and Harold Robinson, Roberta Jackson, and Belle and Elidge Brock; and brothers, Kenneth Brock and Will C. Brock.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Irene Saylor Brock; daughter, Linda Gail Helton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Boyd and Ashley Goodin, William and Nikki Goodin, Kasey and John Brown, and Patrick Helton; six great-grandchildren, Dalton Goodin, Shawn Goodin, Shaylee Goodin, Rylee Goodin, Gannon Brown, and Brody Brown; special friend, Boyd Goodin, Jr., whom he loved as a son; sisters, Nannie and Moses Brock and France and Nathan Lewis; brother, Farmer and Roberta Brock; sisters-in-law, Jennifer Brock and Mary Brock; brother-in-law, Johnny Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Asher, Rev. Ronnie Hoskins, Rev. Demus Couch, and Rev. Michael Lawson. Music will be provided by members of the Crockett Pentecostal Church and Jenson Pentecostal Church. Burial will be at the Charlie Brock Family Cemetery in Beverly. Pallbearers will be Boyd Goodin, William Goodin, Patrick Helton, Dalton Goodin, Shawn Goodin, John Brown, and Tony Helton.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Brock Family.
