Charlie Lee Bullman

Charlie Lee Bullman, 93, of Asheville, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024 at The Laurels of GreenTree Ridge.
Born March 17, 1931, in Buncombe Co., Charlie was a son of the late James and Melinda Buckner Bullman. He was also preceded in death by his 8 siblings.
Mr. Bullman was the owner of Bullman Enterprises, and was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church. He started East Asheville Youth activities, where he served as President for over 50 years. He touched the lives of thousands of East Asheville children. He spent many years volunteering with the Asheville City Parks and Recreation. The ballfield complex in Haw Creek is named after him: Charlie Bullman Park. He also coached at Warren Wilson College and coached a women's softball team who played in championships all over the U.S. He was inducted into the North Carolina Softball Hall of Fame.
Surviving is his wife, Elsa Ohman Bullman; daughter, Lynn Davis (Eric); son, Danny Bullman (Beth Caskey); grandchildren, Corey Bullman, Jeromy Bullman, Ashley Auldredge, Charlie Davis and Brayden Davis; great-grandchildren, Ella Auldredge, Jaxon Bullman and Blake Bullman; and daughter-in-law, Patti Bullman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Beverly Hills Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Lewis Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
