Charles Eugene “Charlie” Thomas, 70, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
He was born July 26, 1953, in Sedalia, son of Talmadge “Tom” and Betty (Beymer) Thomas.

Charlie was a 1971 graduate of Otterville High School. He worked for Viebrock Sales and Service for 51 years. He took great pride in his work and was well known and respected around the state.
Charlie never knew a stranger. Everywhere was better when Charlie showed up. He loved to have a good time dancing, singing, and playing the juke box. He had the (self-proclaimed) “voice of an angel” and was always “pure as the driven snow.” He was a friend to anyone and everyone he met. He also enjoyed the casino, and watching sports, especially the Chiefs, Cardinals and MU Tigers. He was a member of the Moose, American Legion and the Elks.
Most of all he loved his family and was especially proud of his grandkids.
Surviving are his wife, Pam, of the home; four children, Melissa Henley (Brad), of California, MO, Rebecca Fletcher (Matt), of Otterville, Lindsey Thomas (John), of Sedalia, and Ronnie Arnold (Pam), of Knob Noster; twelve grandchildren, Breanna, Tim, Brant, Alec, Kirsten, Felicia, Sadie, Payton, Macin, Rylance, Zerelda and Autume; three great-grandchildren, Andrea, Asher and Greyson; a sister, Mary Allee, of Sedalia; and a brother, Eddie Thomas, of Otterville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Jack Allee; and sister-in-law, Catherine “Cathy” Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2024, at Heckart Funeral Home.
