Mrs. Charline Delores Lindsey, age 83, passed away on October 17, 2025.
Charline was born on February 20, 1942 and was a life-long resident of Georgia. She moved to Rockdale County with her husband and two children in 1976. She was a very devoted wife and mother, and her love and joy continued to grow as her family expanded over the years with marriages and grandchildren. She took great pleasure in every milestone and achievement of her family. She was the family's biggest fan and never missed a chance to be present at any event that celebrated them.
Throughout her life, Charline loved to stay busy. She continued full time employment until she was in her early 70's. She retired from Amedisys Home Health Care in
Covington, GA following many years of employment. After retirement, Charline continued to participate in activities that brought her joy and fulfillment. She enjoyed being an auxiliary volunteer at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital, exercising, shopping, visiting coffee shops and trying new recipes. She had boundless energy, and the joke was she made younger people tired by never needing to rest.
Her biggest enjoyment was spending time and celebrating with friends and family. She delighted in hosting with beautiful decorating, amazing tablescapes and wonderful food. If you ever received a gift from her, you could tell how special she wanted you to feel. She did all of this effortlessly because it stemmed from love.
The Christmas season was her favorite time of the year. The dinner table was always full of food. She would make sure everyone had a special dish for the meal that they enjoyed. She also loved Christmas decorations and lightening up her home. You could see her house shining as you came down the street. In addition, she loved going to see the Nutcracker Ballet at the Fox, and it became a tradition over the years.
Charline will be deeply missed, but forever loved. The memory of her kindness, youthful spirit and independence will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bill Lindsey, her daughter, Monty Kirkpatrick (Darren), and her son, Greg Lindsey (Alicia); grandchildren Candace Kirkpatrick (Walt Nelson), Sarah Crock (Joey), and Clay Kirkpatrick (Taylor); great grandchildren Charlotte Nelson, Nolan Crock, Henry Crock, and soon to arrive Ezra Kirkpatrick.
A Memorial service to celebrate the life of Charline will be held November 1, 2025 at J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home Covington. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00pm-2:00 pm with a Memorial in the J.C. Harwell Chapel at 2:00pm.
