Charlotte Alger Obituary

Charlotte T. (Walker) Alger 92, of Franklin, passed away peacefully, Sunday December 14, 2025 at the Medway County Manor, following an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold H. Alger, Jr., who died in 2019.

Born December 15, 1932 in Norwood, a daughter of the late Wallace and Blanche (Campbell) Walker, she was a resident of Franklin for more than 60 years.

She was raised and educated in Walpole and was a graduate of the Henry O. Peabody School. Charlotte worked at various retail stores and at the Wrentham State School. She was most proud of being a mother, raising her family, sewing, doing crafts, shopping and the annual Alger cookouts.

Charlotte is survived by her children, Joseph Alger and his wife Pam, Linda Jencks and her husband Ronald, Danny Alger and his wife Jean, Jennifer Brown and her husband Wayne, Michael Alger, Dennis Alger, Jeffrey Alger and his wife Karen, Phyllis Petro, Charlotte Dobachesky and Carol Alger.

Also surviving are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was the grandmother of the late Eric Petro and sister of the late Blanche Mucciarone, Vivian Baker, Shirley Carroll, Phyllis Valade, Barbara Fitzgibbons, Wallace and James Walker.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour Thursday December 18th, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 12 noon - 1PM.

A graveside service will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Franklin at 1:30PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to a charity of one's choice.
