In Loving Memory of Charlotte I. Argieri

Charlotte I. Argieri, 89, of Nutley, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, she was the beloved daughter of the late Matthew Maurice and Ethel (Dixon) Dwyer. Charlotte, along with her husband, Rocco, raised their family in Belleville before retiring to Boca Raton, Florida. Following the passing of her husband in 2000 and son John in 2002, she returned to New Jersey to be closer to her family and made her home in Nutley for the past 26 years.

Charlotte was a hardworking and familiar face in the community, serving as the manager of the Lyndhurst Diner for over 30 years. She also worked for many years at The Chandelier in Belleville before her retirement. Known for her warm heart and welcoming spirit, she built lifelong friendships and touched the lives of countless people.

She was an avid BINGO player, a devout Christian, and a faithful member of Agape Worship Center in Bloomfield, where her faith and love for Jesus were central to her life. Above all, Charlotte's greatest joy was her big, beautiful, and loving family, whom she cherished deeply.

She is survived by her devoted children: Gregory and Kim Dwyer, MaryAnn and Edward Cortese, Lori and Sal Hernandez, and Nancy and John DePersio. Charlotte beamed with pride for her 16 loving grandchildren: Jason, Jessica, Chari, Jaclyn, Ashley, Christina, Jenna, Gina, Eddie, Mary, Cara, John, Lauren, Rocco, Victoria, and Mackenzie; and was especially proud of her 38 great-grandchildren: Anthony, John, Rocco, Ava, Sophia, Nickolas, Zander, Charlotte, Dominic, Viana, Olivia, Luciana, Valentina, Samuel, Leda, Cruz, Vita, Julia, Juliette, John, Lillian, Matthew, Lena, Vaida, Vincent, Lucas, Delilah, Madison, Joanna, George, Violet, Christian, Gianna, James, Thomas, Elijah, Carter, and Elliana. She is also survived by her extended family and many dear friends.

Charlotte's love, faith, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Visitors will be received at S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre Street, Nutley, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, from 2:00–6:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at Agape Worship Center, 37 West St., Bloomfield, on Monday, March 9th at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children's Diabetes Foundation and/or Hands & Voices for the Deaf.
