Charlotte Cameron Baltazar

Charlotte Cameron Baltazar, born on January 6, 1959, in Pineville, LA, was a charismatic beacon of light to all who knew her. She had an infectious laugh that could turn any moment into a joyful one. Her charismatic warmth and laughter were the soundtrack of countless family gatherings and community events. A loyal friend, a loving mother, and a dedicated community servant, Charlotte lived her life fully, faithfully, and beautifully.

Charlotte walked through life with a profound sense of purpose. An accomplished scholar, Charlotte made the Dean's List at Grambling State University all four years, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1981. She then used her wisdom to shape young minds as a school teacher. Later, she served her community as the Deputy Clerk for the Town of Glenmora. Her dedication to her town did not stop at her job; she was the security of the Glenmora community service council, always striving to make her town a safer, kinder place. Her hobbies included shopping, traveling, and supporting the youth of her community. She poured her spirit into every season of her life.

A pillar of her faith, Charlotte was a devoted member of Grace Christian Center for more than 15 years. She served her church family in many capacities, including door greeter and children's church volunteer. Her faith was evident in her service. As it says in Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Charlotte's light truly shone before all who knew her.

Charlotte is lovingly remembered by her son Kendrick Baltazar. Her siblings Cherrlyn Frazier, Gwendolyn Allen, Debra Cameron, and Bobby Cameron. her niece and nephews Carey Jone Jr., Latoya Winfrey, Shaun Cameron, Depton Jones, Jamie Frazier, Nakia Cameron, Audreanna Cameron, Alexus Cameron and Jonah Allen. Many great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents James Lewis Cameron and Shirley Cameron, her ex-husband Purvis Baltazar, and her grandparents Pearl Williams, Curley Frazier, James Cameron, and Charlotte Dixon.

A public viewing and visitation will take place at the Glenmora High School Auditorium located at 1414 7th Avenue, Glenmora, Louisiana, on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the same location at 1:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather and share their fond memories of Charlotte. All are welcome to join in honoring and celebrating the life of one who brought joy and love into the lives of so many.

After the service, final committal rites and burial will take place at Glenmora Community Cemetery, Glenmora, Louisiana.
