Charlotte A. Brown (nee Roberts)
Age 88 of New Lenox, IL passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025, at her home. Charlotte was born in Decatur, IL to the late Garland and Georgia (nee Jones) Roberts.
Beloved wife of the late Donald L. Brown; Survived by husband Dermond “David” Sneed. Loving mother of Cheryl (late Roger) Story, Suzan (Robert) Cmolik, Linda (Jerry) Carrigan, and Don (Lisa) Brown; cherished grandmother of Roger Jr (Jess) Story, Cyndi (Mickey) Ammons, Becky (Jon) Franz, Georgia Barreiro, Jacob (CeCe) Barreiro, Ysobel Schmidt, Teri (David) Tucci, Elizabeth (David) Wahls, Alexandria (Jon) Orlando, Kyle Brown, and Robin Brown; Beloved step-children David "Mitch" (Susan) Sneed and Donna Cain; proud great grandmother of 17; great great grandmother of 3; dear sister of the late Jean McMillan, the late Louise Dillow, the late Louis Ray Roberts, the late Arlene Maxey, the late Dean Roberts. Survived by her loving sister Bonnie Tolly and her loving Sisters-in-Law Vivan Roberts and Glenda Brown.
Charlotte was a member of First Baptist Church in Lockport, IL. Charlotte worked as a Registered Nurse, retiring from Silver Cross Hospital. She was the first Nursing Excellence Award winner at Silver Cross Hospital. Charlotte enjoyed planting her flower gardens, sewing, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends. She also was an avid painter, and her paintings are enjoyed by her family and loved ones. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 1:00 pm until the time of Memorial Service at 4:00 pm. A livestream of the service will be available. Interested parties should contact a family member.
