Debra Sue (nee Brown) Price
Age 70, of New Lenox, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Debra was born in Joliet, Illinois to the late Flora L. and Kenneth E. Brown. She was the beloved wife and best friend of the late Jeffrey P. Price, and the devoted mother of Chandra (Carl) Dalton, Wendy (Chris) Karger, and A.J. (Judson Lester) Price. She was the cherished grandmother of Jeffrey (Sarai) Ryan, Taylor (Jonathon) Lorenz, Bryan Hughes, Kiara (Mitchell) Paradeis, Destiny Karger, Skyler Dalton, Kenneth Karger, and Penny Lester, and the proud great-grandmother of Luna Paradeis, Atlas Ryan, Miles Paradeis, Hudson Lorenz, and the late Jason Hughes.
Debra had a quiet strength and a beautiful spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She was an avid reader who could lose herself in a good book — often finishing one every day. Music was another constant in her life; she loved a cappella harmonies and had a natural gift at the piano, filling her home with melody and warmth. Her laughter, kindness, and thoughtful nature made her the heart of her family.
She loved life’s simple joys — a good story, a good song, and time spent with those she loved most. Debra and Jeff shared a deep and joyful bond, traveling together, raising their family, and making a lifetime of memories that will continue to bring comfort and smiles to all who loved them.
She is predeceased by her father, Kenneth Brown, mother, Flora Gallagher, and step-father, Patrick Gallagher. Deb is survived by her brothers Bruce (Donghua Liu) Brown and Gregory (Karen) Brown; sister Cindy (Paul) Miller, and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel located at 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 4:00 pm until time of Service at 7:00 pm.
