John Heil Jr. Obituary
John J. “Jack” Heil Jr.
Age 80 of New Lenox, IL, formerly of Homer Glen, IL and Shorewood, IL passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Lightways Hospice, Joliet, IL. Jack was born in Chicago, IL to the late John Sr. and Florence (nee Taylor) Heil.
Beloved husband of Susan (nee McRight) Heil; loving father of Karri McRight and John (fiancée Anne Bjelland) Heil; cherished grandfather of Kellen McLeod, Kendall McLeod, Ryan Heil, Paige Heil, and Caroline Childers; dear brother of Judith (Richard) Falk; fond brother-in-law of Robin (Paul) Krol; loved uncle, cousin, and friend of many.
Jack worked as a tool and die maker at Panduit for 33 years and Andrew Corporation for 11 years. He was an avid Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan. Jack enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Jack’s name to Lightways Hospice, Joliet, IL or Sunny Hill Nursing and Rehab, Joliet, IL would be appreciated.
The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 3:00 PM until the time of Funeral Service at 7:30 PM. Interment will be private at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn, IL.
