Charlotte Camic Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coast to Coast Cremations on Feb. 24, 2026.
Charlotte Camic, 85, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026.

Born on May 21, 1940, Charlotte was a proud Maine native who dedicated her life to caring for others. She attended Notre Dame de Lourdes, St. Andre's High School, and Mercy Hospital Nursing School. After becoming a Registered Nurse, she worked in local hospitals throughout Maine before enlisting in the United States Air Force.

While serving in the Air Force, Charlotte met the love of her life, Charles. They were married in 1964 and shared 62 beautiful years together, building a life centered on devotion, family, and quiet strength.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Camic of Indiana; her brother, Robert Boucher and his wife Virginia of Oregon; and her sister, Susan Rheault and her husband Robert of Maine. She also leaves behind two grandsons, six great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was predeceased by her father, whose name is correctly spelled Oneal, and was proud of her mother's maiden name, Duchette.

Charlotte will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She held a special place in the hearts of the staff at Billy's Cafe and Riccardo's, where she was a familiar and cherished presence.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Cornerstone Hospice House at The Villages, and to dear friends Carlton and Deborah Fowler, for their compassionate and loving care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlotte's memory to the Alzheimer's Association at https://donorservices.alz.org.

Her kindness, dedication, and gentle spirit will be remembered always.

Yesterday

On behalf of the Society of Air Force Nurses, please know we are mourning with you the death of our sister nurse, Charlotte Camic. It takes a patriot, willing to give of themselves to other human beings in their time of need, to step forth and join the ranks of our U. S. Air Force Nurse Corps. Your beloved one will be mourned and missed by many who served alongside her. We will include her name in our Memorial Program of the Society of Air Force Nurses in commemoration of her life and service to our nation.
With Sincerest Regards and Gratitude,
