Charlotte Ruth Dorcas

DORCAS, CHARLOTTE RUTH Age 84, born in Holland, Ohio, and a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died September 30, 2011. She is survived by her children, Stuart Dorcas and wife, Lisa, Debra Haugen, Pat Mason and husband, Terry, Christie Wiltse and husband, Jay; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren with the twelfth due soon. She was preceded in death by Bob Dorcas, her husband of 62 years, in 2009; and by her siblings: Joyce, Jud and Leonard. Mrs. Dorcas, who never learned to drive a car (!), was a housewife and devoted to family. She enjoyed bowling, horse racing, and Lobo basketball games. She spent her last years living with her son, Stuart and his wife, Lisa, who cared for her so lovingly in her final days. Our thanks to Dawn and Darlene and the entire Presbyterian Hospice staff who so kindly cared for Char. Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at French Lomas Chapel with a reception to follow in the Lomas Reception Center.
