Charlotte M. King, age 80, of Carroll, IA, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation of Carroll.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Pastor David Wenndt officiating. Casket bearers will be Jeff Corbin, Mike Jacobsen, Paul Obman, Joe Obman, Wyatt Corbin, and Kipp Corbin. Honorary casket bearers will be Jerry Corbin, Michael Vonnahme, Collin Brus, Austin Corbin, Michael VanWay, Kurt Benson, Aaron Johnson, and Josh Benson. Burial will be in Wall Lake Cemetery in Wall Lake.
Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 5 – 7 P.M. on Monday. Visitation will resume on Tuesday morning at 9:30 until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Charlotte was born on February 11, 1945 at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll. She was the daughter of Harold and Edna (Geyer) Obman. She was baptized on March 18, 1945 at Peace Lutheran in Wall Lake. She was confirmed on March 22, 1959. She attended Wheatland Country School south of Wall Lake and graduated from Wall Lake Community Schools with the Class of 1963 graduating with the honors of Salutatorian. She then attended The Commercial Extension School of Commerce in Omaha, receiving a junior accounting degree. She moved back to Carroll and was employed with Montgomery Ward in Carroll for a few years. On July 9, 1977 she was united in marriage to John Nixon at Peace Lutheran in Wall Lake. Their union was cut short when John passed away in May of 1984. On April 20, 1966 she was employed for Crouse Cartage Company in Carroll as the bookkeeper and worked there for 33 years. On August 31, 1991 she was united in marriage to Jim King in Carroll. From 1999 to 2006 she rode with Jim over the road trucking, she cherished that time spent together. In 2006 she then worked for Crouse Transportation and later Windstar in Carroll until she retired in May of 2024.
Charlotte is survived by her husband Jim King of Carroll; sisters: Irene Corbin, Darlene Vonnahme, and Gloria Obman all of Wall Lake; sisters-in-law, Mary Obman of Auburn, and Joan Obman of Breda; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Charlotte is preceded in death by first husband John Nixon; parents Harold and Edna; two brothers in infancy, Edward and Ricky Obman; brother: James Obman, Eugene “Butch” Obman; brothers-in-law, Robert Corbin and Randy Vonnahme; two nephews Scott Vonnahme and Scott W. Corbin; and her niece Michelle Corbin.
