Nelson Funeral Home - LoganCharlotte Anne Leptich: Miss Tootsie; Mom; Mumsie; Ganny; 81; passed away December 1, 2025 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Anne was born September 2,1944 in Pocatello, Idaho to Charles Nelson and Norma Kinghorn Nelson. She spent her childhood in Pocatello with her parents and siblings: Sister Kay, Brother Craig, and Brother Kim. The family subsequently moved to Bellevue Washington where she met her future husband, Ronny Leptich. They made their home with sons Brian and Matthew in suburbs of Portland, Oregon to facilitate Ron’s employment. She made the most of spending nearly four years in Dublin, Ireland on Ron’s expatriot work assignment. She enjoyed many travels in Europe during this time. She and Ron recently relocated to Logan, Utah to be closer to Grandchildren. Anne and Ron celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in September.
Anne had a zest for life and developed many talents while experimenting with new adventures. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings over the years with the Youth and Relief Society including as Relief Society President. However her life long adult passion was Family History. Before family records were online she traveled routinely to the LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was an early advocate for getting family records on-line. In her quest in this regard she served on many National Boards. However, her real zeal was in the hunt to find the obscure person. As the internet expanded she interacted with people around the world in her chase to find the person others had given up locating. Most times she was successful.
Anne lived life full of energy and vigor until the Cancer battle began in the summer of this year. She was determined to beat it until her final days when she knew she could not. She loved her family and had great joy being in their lives, celebrating special occasions and finding something unique for each one.
Anne is survived by her husband, Ron and sons Brian (Danel) and Matthew (Shelley). Her third son Andrew died as an infant. She is also survived by Grandchildren Tyler (Kelsey), Ashley, and Sophia.
A private family graveside service will be held Saturday December 13 at the North Logan, Utah City Cemetery. Condolences & memories may be shared online at www.nelsonfuneralhome.com
