Charlotte (Char) A. Pera, 81, a former resident of Ripley, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Delaware House of Portage Pointe in Hancock following a lengthy illness.
She was born on June 1, 1944, in Hancock, a daughter of the late Paul and Doris (Ross) Nomellini. Char was raised in Hancock and was a graduate of Hancock Central High School.

Char worked at Lazzari's Market in Hancock, as a paraprofessional in the Hancock Public Schools, and at Kukkonen's Hallmark Store in the Copper Country Mall. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Houghton. She loved dogs, and enjoyed watching the Packers, playing bingo, coloring, and watching Hallmark movies. She was also a very proud grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her husband Dennis, her parents; her sister Delores "Lori" Parker, and her brother: Fr. Paul Nomellini.
Surviving are: Her children: Julie (Rick) Rickard of Lake Linden & Brian (Jennifer) Pera of Ontonagon; Her grandchildren: Alyssa (Tyler) Roose & Alex (Mariah) Pera; Her brother: Ross (Vickie) Nomellini; Her brother-in-law: James "Zip" (Barb) Parker; Several nieces, nephews and cousins
