Charlotte Prez

Charlotte "Shesh" Komar Prez, age 101, of Erie, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024. She was born in Erie, PA on July 22, 1923, the daughter of the late Louis and Frances Lewandowski Fabiszewski Komar.
Besides being a wife and mother, she held positions at U.S. Printing and Lithograph, General Electric and Sunset Inn. She was a sacristan at St. Casimir Church for over 50 years, and was the President of the St. Casimir Ladies' Guild for more than 25 years. She enjoyed playing word games such as Jumble, Wordle, and Mad Libs. Polish sweet bread, pies, nut rolls, and pierogi were some of her culinary specialties.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Prez was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Johnny Prez; her eldest son, Fr. Daniel Prez; her daughter, Dr. Debra Monde;
brothers John, Walter, William, Henry, Peter and Sikey Fabian, and Vince Komar; and her sister Sophie Kujawa.
Mrs. Prez is survived by sons James Prez of Brooklyn, NY, Thomas Prez of Sandpoint, ID, and Joseph Monde (Sharon) of Pittsburgh, PA; her daughter Christine Farnum (John) of Erie, PA; grandsons Benjamin Prez (Hannah), Neil Farnum (Megan), Aidan Farnum, and Nathan, Alexander, Timothy and Christopher Schwappach; a great-grandson Rhys Gordon; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to thank Melissa, Janelle, Sandy, Tracy, and Dawn of LECOM VNA and also her personal helper, Glenda.
Friends may call on Friday, September 13 at the Kloecker-Razanauskas Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (4396 Iroquois Ave. in Lawrence Park) from 4 pm until 6 pm and are invited to the Funeral Mass on Saturday at St. Casimir Church at 10 am. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
