Charlotte Salcedo Obituary

Published by Greenwood Funeral Homes & Cremation - Three area locations from Nov. 11 to Nov. 12, 2015.
Charlotte "Chala" Ann Salcedo, left planet earth Nov. 9, 2015, at her home in Fort Worth. A celebration of her life will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, in Mount Olivet Chapel, 2301 North Sylvania, Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Encompass Hospice or a charity of your choice. Chala was born in Los Angeles on Nov. 16, 1934. She married Jess, her high school sweetheart, and traveled the world with him until he ended his service with the Marine Corps on Guam. They retired to his childhood home in El Paso, and also lived in Santa Fe, eventually settling in the Metroplex. As Jess was stationed in various places, she worked as a travel agent, an office manager for a dentist, a school secretary, and even worked at Disneyland! Chala was a spiritual being experiencing a human existence. She was raised a Catholic, but as she got older, she became interested in other spiritual paths, and became an ordained minister. She was very proud of marrying both of her granddaughters. She was also a Reiki Master, and traveled the world teaching and passing on her knowledge to thousands of others. Chala and her beloved Jess are dancing together now through the universe, full of boundless energy! Her family and friends will remember her as a bundle of loving energy, and sharing her earthly experience was a blessing in their lives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant Jess Salcedo; her parents, Dahlia and Albert Lincoln; her brother, Harry Lincoln; and her grandson, Daniel Salcedo. Survivors: Her son, Andre Salcedo and wife, Myra; sons, Mark and Chris Salcedo; her granddaughters, Amanda Salcedo and Jessica Ralat and husband, Jose; her great-grandchildren, Taylor Jones, Trinity and Elijah Salcedo, and Diego Ralat; and numerous nieces, nephews and long-time friends.
