Victor Manuel Salcedo, Sr., age 77, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025 surrounded by family.
Victor was born July 28, 1948 in Torreon, Mexico to Antonio Salcedo and Otilia Mendoza. Victor was born into a life guided by his Catholic faith, which remained his foundation throughout the years. On June 1, 1969, he married the love of his life, Beatriz, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage until her passing in 2010. Together, they built a strong and loving family.
Victor retired from Franklin Electric after over 30 years. In retirement, he enjoyed working at JBU making pizzas and interacting with students and co-workers. He was known for his ability to fix things, his fighting spirit, sense of humor, and warm presence. Victor had a way of bringing laughter and light wherever he went. He cherished time spent with his family above all else. Victor’s legacy is one of hard work, determination, and faith. Though he will be deeply missed, his kindness, laughter, and the example of his love for his family will remain.
He is survived by his 3 sons, Victor Salcedo Jr. and wife, Joy of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Alfonso Salcedo and wife, Mary of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Marco Salcedo and wife, Roxy of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; 1 daughter, Betty Ward and husband, Brian of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; He is also survived by grandchildren, David Gray, Morgan Taylor, Marco Salcedo, Jr., Hope Salcedo, Dalton Gray, Jasmine Gray, Gabby Salcedo, Makena Ward, Caleb Ward, and Hennessey Ward. He is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Victoria Salcedo. He also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Luna and Orlando Gray and Rileigh Dawn and Octavia Lane. In addition, he is also survived by one brother, Ernesto as well as five sisters, Magdalena, Deloris, Juanita, Maria Ester, and Laura as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Antonio and Jaime Salcedo.
The Visitation & Rosary will be cited on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12:00PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, followed by burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
