Charlotte Tyler

Charlotte "Char" Ann Tyler passed away October 6, 2025 at the age of 79 at The Maples.
Charlotte Tyler was a dedicated employee who spent approximately 20 years working at Cherry Growers, where she packed cherries into containers. She was also employed for eight years by Matt Pelky at Ray's Auto. Charlotte had a strong appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with her animals. Known for her willingness to assist others, she was always ready to help anyone in need.
Charlotte took pleasure in attending garage sales and discovering curbside finds. She possessed a keen sense of humor and often played practical jokes on her daughter, Ruthann. Creative and industrious, she frequently constructed unique yard decorations, sheds, and various other projects to stay busy. Charlotte also enjoyed watching football, comedies, and films based on true stories.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth Charlotte (Shultz) Oakley, and Weber Lee Tyler.
She is survived by daughter Ruthann Tyler, sister Mary Jane Tyler, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the Elberta United Methodist Church, with family and friends welcomed one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Jowett Family Funeral Home of Benzonia.
