Charlotte Virginia Whitten

Charlotte Virginia Whitten, 88, entered into eternal rest on March 26, 2026. A woman of profound and unwavering faith, Charlotte's life was a testament to her devotion to the Lord and the family she loved so dearly.

Throughout her life, Charlotte shared her heart between the communities of Byram, Mississippi, and New Iberia, Louisiana. Known for her gentle spirit and her steadfast prayer life, she was a pillar of strength to those around her. Whether in the hills of Mississippi or the heart of Acadiana, Charlotte's life was rooted deeply in her Christian values and an unconditional love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Whitten Jr.; her parents; and other dear family members who went before her.

She is survived by her children, Keith McMullan and his wife, Karen, Danny McMullan, and Hugh Whitten III and his wife, Renee. She was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren, who were the light of her life, and the recipients of her endless prayers. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends in both Mississippi and Louisiana.

A graveside service to honor Charlotte's life and homecoming will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hazlehurst City Cemetery, Hazlehurst, MS.
