Obituary of Charlsie A. Scott

Charlsie A. (Caldwell) Scott, age 95, of Aston, PA, formerly of Blacksburg, VA, died peacefully at home on Friday, August 29, 2025. She was born in Blacksburg, VA, and graduated from Blacksburg High School.

Charlsie worked as a switchboard operator prior to marrying her husband, Charles. She was a homemaker extraordinaire, pouring her love and creativity into making a warm and welcoming home for her family.

Prior to the pandemic, Charlsie was committed to her fitness routine and attended the gym faithfully. Even as life changed, she remained committed to her fitness journey and overall well-being.

Charlsie was a devoted member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church. She found joy and strength in her faith and church community.

Charlsie was a very devoted wife, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She lived for her family and would do anything for all of us. Her actions taught us how to treat family and everyone.

She was an avid bowler, and bowled on two leagues. She bowled 3 strikes in a row on Tuesday and Friday before being admitted to the hospital.

She started every morning with a cup of coffee, and her bible. After her daily devotions, she started her daily cryptogram. She was very tenacious and was only stumped by entertainer's names.

She enjoyed maintaining her yard. Mowing, weed whacking and taking care of all her roses and other flowers. The deer were the constant enemy of her flower beds. She was still pulling weeds about a week before her death.

She also enjoyed travelling with our father. They drove their motor home all over the country and took their dream trips to Alaska and Hawaii.

Loving wife of the late Charles Scott (May 2009), Grandmother of the late Brian Scott (October 2024).
