Charlyne Barker, 98, of North Little Rock, went to be with the Lord November 15, 2022. She was born October 28, 1924 in Norman, AR the only child of the late Charles Edwin Giudici and the late Grace Ella Sloan Giudici. Charlyne was a 1942 graduate of North Little Rock and 1947 graduate of AR State Teacher’s College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for 80 years. Charlyne had taught at Bayou Meto and Ridge Road Schools and was also a member of the AR Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed spending time with old friends and participating in the North Little Rock Women’s Club.
Survivors include her only son, Eddie Barker (Gail); two grandchildren: Andrea Bakewell (Tate) and Beau Barker (Amanda); five great-grandchildren: McKenzie and Dakota Bakewell, Liam, Emma, and Levi Barker; several extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Triune Class of First United Methodist Church, North Little Rock.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be at Edgewood Memorial Park with her late husband, Curtis Barker.
