Charolette Ann Tryon Devall

Charolette Ann Tryon Devall, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her own home. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Charolette was renowned for her boundless creativity and passion for the arts. Throughout her life, she found immense joy and purpose in painting, crocheting, sewing, beadwork, and gardening. Her skilled hands crafted exquisite masterpieces, from vibrant flowers in the beds surrounding her home to intricate crocheted blankets, beautiful sewn garments, and brilliant beaded jewelry. Every piece she created carried her warmth and spirit, leaving behind a legacy of artistic expression that will be cherished by all who knew her. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of good food. She taught many in her family and community how to appreciate the quiet, meditative act of crafting and the joy it could bring to one's life. Those who were fortunate enough to know her will forever remember her nurturing nature, her patient guidance, and the light she brought into every room.
Charolette Ann Tryon Devall is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Wilton Leon Devall Jr., children Donna Hogan (Mike), Kenneth Devall (Shannon), Charles Devall, Theresa McDonald (Dustin) all of whom will miss her deeply. Grandchildren Jessica Robertson (Seth), Ryan Simmons (Lacy), Ethon Simmons (Jessica), Kayla Mendow (Aaron), Blake Devall (Brianna), Dakota Salter, William Salter (Hannah), Jacob Devall, Bridget Devall, Bailey Devall, Brenden McDonald, Aiden McDonald. Sister Rachel Brunett (Paul). 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents Charles and Monette Tryon, grandson Charles Brody Devall, angel baby Alexis Ann Marie McDonald and Prentice Baham. Her love of creativity and her kind, caring soul will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Pall Bearers will be Ryan Simmons, Ethon Simmons, Blake Devall, Dakota Salter, William Salter and Jacob Devall. Honorary Pall bearers will be Brenden and Aiden McDonald.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, Hammond on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Service will be officiated Bro. Jeremy Ingram. Interment in Narretto Cemetery in Loranger.
