Chelsea Lynn Smith

Chelsea Smith, age 31, of Verona, PA, passed away on June 2, 2024. Chelsea was born on September 12, 1992, in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the beloved daughter of Janet and James Smith; sister of Madison DeVall; niece of Raymond Smith, Mike Kopinski, Judy Hill, and the late Tom Hill, and aunt of Lily DeVall and Mitchie DeVall.
Chelsea touched many people's hearts. She was a sweet, loving, caring, and strong young lady. Her dream of becoming a nurse was a reflection of her desire to care for others, a dream she pursued with passion and dedication until nearly completing her degree. Despite the challenges she faced from the young age of six, spending considerable time in hospitals, and the heart transplant she courageously underwent in April 2011, her spirit remained unshaken. Chelsea's favorite movie was "Nightmare Before Christmas", in which she could recite each song and scene by heart! Wrestling matches, whether on TV or live, filled her with excitement. She enjoyed watching the Food Network, always eager to experiment with new recipes and share them with her family. Chelsea was a vibrant soul, expressing herself through the ever-changing colors of her hair and nails, each shade a reflection of her bright and playful personality.
A memorial gathering will be on June 13, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Allegheny County Memorial Park in the cemetery chapel, 1600 Duncan Avenue, Allison Park, PA 15101.
Chelsea would want us to remember her not for the battles she fought but for the joy she spread, the laughter she shared, and the kindness she embodied. She will be greatly missed.
We love you forever sweet baby girl, you are now at peace, free from suffering and pain. Rest in Peace, baby.
