Chelsi Marie Jones (Rodgers), age 34, of Harrisburg, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, September 9, 2024. She was born on October 9, 1989, in Columbus, Ohio, to Lucinda Johnson and her late father, Dwayne Rogers. Chelsi is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Bonnie Watson; her grandparents, the Zimmers; and her father, Dwayne Rogers.
Chelsi is survived by her devoted mother, Lucinda Johnson, and her sister, Britteny (Cody) Priest. She was deeply loved by her daughter, Alaziah Quinichett, and her son, Milton "MJ" Jones II. She shared a special bond with her daughter's father, Bob Quinichett. Chelsi is also survived by her brothers, Tyler Cormack and Willie Wilkins III, as well as five nieces and four nephews, all of whom she adored.
Chelsi was truly the life of the party-her presence alone could light up any room. She had a gift for bringing people together, and no matter the mood, she could have you laughing within seconds. Her laugh, one-of-a-kind and contagious, was a sound everyone loved, and her smile could brighten even the darkest days. Chelsi had a natural warmth, making everyone feel comfortable around her. She was the shoulder friends and family could lean on, always offering support with a kind word or a joke.
Above all, Chelsi was an incredibly loving and dedicated mother. Her children were her world, and she took immense pride in watching them grow. She was equally proud to be called "Aunt Chelsi," and she showered her nieces and nephews with love, joy, and laughter. Chelsi had a passion for music and enjoyed dancing and singing along to her favorite songs, always bringing energy to any event.
In addition to her love of family and friends, Chelsi had a well-known love for food. She had a special place in her heart for tacos, pizza, buffalo chicken dip, and Johnny Marzetti. No gathering with her was complete without sharing a delicious meal, and she was always excited to try something new, especially if it was a fun dish she could enjoy with her loved ones.
Chelsi had a beautiful, caring soul, and her impact on those who knew her was profound. She lived her life with joy, compassion, and a spirit that was impossible to forget. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know her. Chelsi will be deeply missed, but her laughter, love, and bright spirit will never be forgotten.
A memorial service and cremation ceremony will be held to celebrate Chelsi's life on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Big Run Park, 4201 Clime Road, Columbus, OH 43228. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor her beautiful spirit.
