Cheng Tsao

Cheng Hsiung Tsao, 78, of Potomac, Maryland, passed away peacefully on the evening of September 3, 2022 at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland.
Cheng was born in Taipei, Taiwan to Chung-Liu Tsao and A Huan Tsao. He graduated from Chinese Culture University of Taipei with a Bachelor's in journalism and was married to Fung Li Pon.
He truly was a jack of all trades and a true survivor. He was a teacher, entrepreneur, watchmaker and was skilled in many more areas. He boldly moved from Taiwan to Argentina without knowing anyone or speaking the language to find a better life for his family. When the situation there was dire, he was able to move his family again, finally settling in the US 30 years ago.
One of his biggest accomplishments was being a loving family man. First, as a brother, helping take care of his four younger siblings. Then, as a father and husband, an unmovable anchor through his journey through the Americas, making sure that his family always had everything that they needed and were happy. And later of his life, taking care of his mother when she was terminally ill.
He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and sibling. He is survived by his wife Fung Li, sons Neil and Victor, daughter in-law Kai, grandchildren Ava and Max, brothers Yong Long, Pedro and Jerry, nephews, Austin, Iris, Sheena, Lowey and Andrianna.
The viewing will take place on September 10th from 11am - 12pm at the Rockville Chapel, 1091 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852 (entrance/parking in rear parking lot).
