Chery Michelle Bridgewater

Chery Michelle Bridgewater, age 52 of Janesville, passed away on December 19, 2025, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison. She was born in La Crosse, Wis., on December 25, 1972, the daughter of William and Dixie (Reed) Ogden. Chery grew up in La Crosse until the family moved to Montana where Chery graduated from high school in Boulder, Montana.

Chery married Craig Bridgewater, and they resided in Utah where he was stationed at Hill Air Force Base. Following their divorce, Chery moved to Janesville and began working for SSI Technology where she was employed for over 20 years.

Chery will be remembered for her bubbly personality, her love of people, the moon and wolves.

Chery is survived by her daughter, Sandra Sosa; mother, Dixie Stecha; sister, Julie Zufelt; half siblings, Tim Boardman, Ashley Weiker, Amber Breidel, and Tyler Weiker; and stepbrother, Justin Weiker. She was preceded in death by her father, William Ogden.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Chery’s life will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Online condolences can be shared at www.henkeclarson.com.
