Cheryl Ann Boyle was born October 14, 1954, to Arlan and Lillian (Haga) Torgrimson. She attended Moorhead public schools and graduated, with honors, from Moorhead Senior High School in 1972. She continued her education at Concordia College in Moorhead, and received a degree in Psychology, with honors, in 1975.
At one time, Cheryl was married to Lee Livdahl. She married Thomas Boyle in 1991, and they made their home in Moorhead. Cheryl seemed to have a gift of musical talent. She learned to play the piano, violin and guitar. She played with Blue Moon Band from 1983 to 1996. In 1997, she joined Arden Lemley and Mary Ann Donaldson to form Blue Moon Duet/Trio and was active until the present day.
In her early years, Cheryl was a Bluebird, then a Campfire Girl, reaching the rank of “Wo-He-Lo.” She babysat for many families and was a cheerleader at Moorhead Senior High School as well as Concordia College. She was also a camp counselor.
Over the years, Cheryl was employed at Tastee Freez, Fox Hill School of Horsemanship, Foster Drug, Buttrey Foods, and SunMart Foods. Her last position was office manager at Red River Trails and she retired on March 30, 2018.
Cheryl was an avid movie aficionado, enjoyed her chocolate, and loved to travel. She was also an accomplished photographer and was very proud of the images she captured. However, Cheryl considered her greatest achievement to be her enduring friendships with people from all walks of life.
Cheryl’s health failed recently, and she fought a courageous battle until passing away, with her family by her side, Friday, August 23, 2024, at Sanford Hospice House, Fargo, at sixty-nine years of age.
