Cheryl Lynn Cotten, born on August 20, 1952, in Lindale, Texas, passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 72. She was the beloved daughter of James Williams and Christine Coe Williams.
Cheryl spent much of her life in service to others, retiring from a dedicated career in medical records with Presbyterian Hospital in Winnsboro, Texas. A member of Walnut Street Baptist Church, she was known for her unwavering faith and her love for family. Cheryl's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, and she lived a life centered around caring for those she loved.
On October 31, 1983, she married the love of her life, Billy Cotten. Together, they built a life full of love, family, and cherished memories in Winnsboro, Texas.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Billy Cotten; her sons, Dalton Cotten and his wife Lisa, James Cotten, all of Winnsboro, and Michael Cotten and his wife Kortney of Mineola; her sister, Teresa Lavallee and husband Jim of Knoxville, TN; her treasured grandchildren, Rachael, Dustin, Timothy, Izabella, Billy, Jakob, Zelayna, Carsten, and Dawson; and her great-grandchildren, Levi, Serenity, Lilly, Lukas, Zachiarah, Coby, Willow, Kace, Calvin and Evelynn.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Williams.
Cheryl will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to family, and her selfless spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and care that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
