Cheryl Redd Dalton, age 69, passed away Wednesday morning, September 18, 2024 at her home in Sarah, MS

Funeral services for Cheryl will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Evansville Baptist Church in Coldwater, MS with the interment to follow there at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. 

Cheryl was born in Tunica, MS on November 3, 1954 to Frances Jean Hallum Redd and the late D.F. Redd.

Cheryl was known for her love of Jesus and service to the church. She and her husband, Tommy, were dedicated members of their church families. Cheryl work tirelessly in Vacation Bible School creating art pieces and teaching the children. She and her daughter, Jenny, taught Sunday School together for many years. Cheryl was mission minded as she created and orchestrated multiple mission projects while working alongside her family and friends who helped her. She was dedicated to studying her Bible and was bold in sharing the gospel. She was currently a faithful member of Evansville Baptist Church, where she truly enjoyed worshiping and serving with her church family and friends.

Cheryl had an entrepreneurial spirit, having owned two cherished gift shops—Crossroads in Senatobia and Jeremiah's Journey in Hernando. Her passion for crafting extended beyond her stores; she was an avid artist who taught art at Odessa College and painted canvases and artful murals at many churches and homes in the area. She created a variety of handmade crafts, including jewelry and beautifully painted wooden pieces. Alongside her husband, Tommy, Cheryl traveled extensively across the United States to showcase her hand-crafted jewelry and art, leaving a lasting impression on customers wherever they went. They even ventured into making their own sterling silver jewelry, further exemplifying Cheryl's creative flair. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Cheryl had a deep appreciation for music, often finding joy in the melodies that accompanied her life’s moments.

The family she leaves behind includes her husband, Tommy Dalton of Sarah, MS; her daughter, Jenny Dalton of Sarah, MS; her mother, Jean Redd of Sarah, MS; and her five siblings, David Redd of Sarah, MS, Lori Spencer (Tommy) of Sarah, MS, Tim Redd (Kandy) of Eudora, MS, Tom Redd (Stephanie) of Sarah, MS, and Jan Wallace (Daniel) of Coldwater, MS.

Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of the love of Jesus toward others and how her faith kept her strong as she walked her earthly journey into heaven. She will be deeply missed.
