Cheryl Downing Obituary
August 11, 1944 - May 12, 2022
Wichita, Kansas - Cheryl B Downing went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2022. She had suffered from Alzheimer's and back pain for years. We know that she is free of pain.
Cheri was married to Dale Downing for 57 years. They had a wonderful life, having many activities. She loved going to WSU basketball games with Dale. Cheri would never miss her sons' sporting events, she loved decorating, as well as taking care of her house and walking her dog, Seymour. Cheri enjoyed camping in their cabin at Beaver Lake, to ski and vacation, from when the boys were little to high school. Cheri also liked going to the zoo with the grandchildren when they were young. She was a very well-respected wife in the position her husband stood. She absolutely loved her life and enjoyed every step of the journey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; C.B. and Fran Hargadine and infant sister Kay. She is survived by her husband, Dale. Sons, Aaron, Noel (Jatena). Grandchildren Zane, Taylor and Tatum and Sister Jo (Randy) Kopsa.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 24, at 10:30 AM at Eastminister Church.

Dale, I am so sad to run into you and cheri this way. I have so many fun memories when we lived next door to you guys in Andover. I always enjoyed running to you two at different events and catch up on the family. I aways admired Cheri as she was such a good wife, mother and friend. I Just saw this today or I would have been there to celebrate her life.

Dale, we will Miss Cheri. She was a wonderful neighbor and friend, always concerned about others over herself. She was kind and truly loved her family. May God bring you and the family peace during this time of the loss of such a lovely lady.
