Cheryl Ann Hammers

Cheryl Ann Hammers (née Zadrozny), age 78, passed away on December 9, 2025, in Medina, Ohio. She was born to Anthony & Lorraine Zadrozny in Connellsville, PA.

Cheryl grew up in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania. After marrying the love of her life, Wells Hammers, she moved to Medina, where they recently celebrated 56 years of marriage on November 15th. Cheryl was devoted to her family and embraced a life filled with warmth, tradition, and joyful experiences.

Over the years, she enjoyed traveling to new places, staying active, taking day trips to Amish Country, and singing in the St. Francis Xavier choir. Christmas was one of her favorite times of the year-especially after becoming a grandmother. She loved watching Hallmark Christmas Countdown movies leading up to the holidays and cherished spending Christmas Day at her daughter's home.

Cheryl treasured time with her grandchildren, Justin and Sarah, and created many special memories with them. She and Wells often took them on day trips, with a favorite adventure being ferrying to Put-in-Bay to explore the island. Another tradition she loved was taking them out to lunch followed by a matinee movie.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Wells Hammers; her daughter, Lanette (Gary) Hinkle; her cherished grandchildren, Justin and Sarah; sisters Linda Morgan and Sandy Colabrese; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edward Zadrozny.

Family will receive friends on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Waite Funeral Home 765 N Court St., Medina, OH 44256. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 pm at St Francis Catholic Church 606 E Washington St., Medina OH 44256. She will be laid to rest in St Francis Xavier Cemetery.

Cheryl will be remembered for her loving spirit, her devotion to family, and the countless memories she created with those she held dear.
