Joseph Anthony Coreno

Joseph Anthony Coreno, 89, of Seville OH passed away on February 14, 2026. He was born on March 7, 1936 to Antonio and Yolanda Coreno. Growing up in Cleveland, OH, he attended West High School in Cleveland and was in the U.S. Navy after high school. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he went to school for computers, where he earned an associates degree. Upon completion of his degree he worked at Eaton Corp until he retired in 2000.

Joseph lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and gratitude for life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed golf and gardening, finding peace both on the course and among his plants. He cherished his many trips to Tennessee with his wife and children, visiting his in-laws. He enjoyed Italian cooking especially homemade sauce and pastas, for those he loved, and remained a dedicated Cleveland sports fan through every high and low season.

He is survived by his children, Michael Coreno, Susan (Mike) Carpenter, Kendra (Alan) Telling, and Caroline Coreno; his grandchildren, Adam (Jenna) Carpenter and Ashleigh (Jeremy) Walker; and his great grandchild, Izabelle Walker. He is also survived by his sibling, Carol (Rich) Goebelt, his niece Lori(RJ), Sherry(Jon) and his nephew Richie(Suzanne) as well as many extended family members who loved him dearly.

Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nettie Ruth Coreno(Meador) and his parents and sister, Sandy Coreno.

A visitation will be held on February 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home in Medina. A Catholic Mass will take place the following day, February 25, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish. Followed by Graveside Service at Western Reserve Cemetery.

Joseph's warmth, steady presence, and devotion to his family will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
