David Nesbitt Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carlson Funeral Homes and Cremation Services - Medina on Feb. 11, 2026.
David (Nez) Nesbitt, 70, of Brunswick, OH, passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2026.

Dave (Nez), born September 30th, 1955 in Akron OH, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend whose presence filled every room he entered. He was a proud alumni of Garfield High School, Class of 1974. He lived life with strength, laughter, and a heart that was bigger than anyone realized at first glance.

Dave was the kind of man who showed up-no matter what. He had the best smile with his beautiful Irish eyes, a quick wit, and a natural charm that made people feel instantly at ease. His sense of humor and larger-than-life personality left lasting impressions on everyone who knew him.

Dave had a deep love for sports cars and sports of all kinds, including softball, football, baseball, basketball, pool, and bowling. One of his greatest joys was watching his children and grandchildren play the sports they loved, cheering proudly from the sidelines and soaking in every moment. He also had a fearless side and loved skydiving and riding his motorcycle, always embracing adventure and living life to the fullest. He was very proud of his Irish heritage.

Above all else, Dave cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, "Sweetheart", Elisa (Nina) whom he was married to for a wonderful 27 years; his children, Angie Lute (JJ), Kellie Nesbitt, and Daniel Wahl (Lauren); his step daughter, Lisa Lambert; his grandchildren, Lexie, Zach, Logan, Mason, Presley, Jaylee, Arianna, Easton, and Paxtyn; and his great-grandchildren, Bryar, Emmi, Kade, Colter, and Denver and favorite sister in law, Bet, and nephews James and Joey; his sisters Debbie and Phyllis. He is proceeded in death with his loving parents Eugene and Quena Nesbitt of Akron, OH. Great-granddaughter, Addileigh; sister, Evelyn (Bo); and his favorite companion, his dog, JD. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Time spent with family meant everything to him, and his legacy lives on through the generations he adored so deeply. His love, strength, and laughter will continue to be felt in countless memories shared by those fortunate enough to know him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Calling hours will take place on February 12 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A service will be held the following day, February 13 at 10:00 am.
