Cheryl Renee Johnson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our loved one, Cheryl Renee Johnson, of Canton, GA on September 23, 2025. Cheryl was born on May 14, 1965 in Atlanta, GA, to Virlyn and Nancy Anderson. They lived in Alpharetta, GA. Cheryl was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. She especially treasured her roles as Mom, Grandma "CiCi," and Aunt Cheryl, as well as caring for her beloved kitty, Romeo. She had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed hiking the trails of North Georgia, camping, and participating in 5Ks to support causes close to her heart. Cheryl also had a passion for music, cooking, and sharing good food with others. She was known for her infectious laughter and radiant smile that could light up any room. Cheryl also took great pride in her 15 years of dedicated service at Emory Vascular in Johns Creek. Cheryl is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Jessica Johnson, and her cherished grandchildren, River Anne and Ridge Allan Johnson of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is also survived by her mother, Nancy M. Anderson; siblings, Glenn (Sherry) Anderson of Cumming, Georgia; Christy (Mark) Anderson Black of Marietta, Georgia; Gary (Denise) Anderson of Amherst, Virginia; Carla Anderson Fields of Murphy, North Carolina; and Casey Anderson Butcher of Ball Ground, Georgia. Cheryl leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, including Matthew Anderson, Nathaniel Anderson, Bethany Welsh, Allison Burruss, Zachary Anderson, Christopher Black, Seth Anderson, Rebekah Beachy, Abigail Anderson, Cassidy Butcher, Sidney Roan, Noah Fields, and Lily Fields. A celebration of Cheryl's life will be held at Northside Chapel in Roswell, GA on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm.
