Cheryl M. Laube, 69, of Mikado, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born February 23, 1956, to Forrest and Barbara (Rasmussen) Gauthier in Alpena, MI, she has been a lifelong resident of the area. On April 16, 1974, she married Randy Laube in Alpena. They were fortunate to spend 52 years together. Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister with a beautiful soul. She was an excellent cook, and was well known for her carrot cake. She loved walking her dog, and picking rocks along Lake Huron. She was an avid reader. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Randy, three children, Linda (Joseph) Jeske, Randy Laube, and Luke (Kim) Laube, two grandchildren, Austin Potts and Taylor Laube, six siblings, Monroe Gauthier, Solomon (Fran) Gauthier, David (Bonnie) Gauthier, Rebecca (Dale) Woloszyk, Randy (Brenda) Gauthier, and Billie (Jeff) Panich, three sisters-in-law, Gale Gauthier, Vickie Gauthier, and Margaret Gauthier, one brother-in-law, Dave Richardson, and numerous nieces and nephews, including Richard Gauthier. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Forrest Gauthier, Jody Gauthier, Heidi Riggs, Brian Gauthier, and Elizabeth Richardson.
Cheryl is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will be on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 12:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM.
