Cherylanne Mannhalter left us unexpectedly on February 2, 2026, from the comfort of her home in North Salt Lake, Utah, at the age of 54. She was born on November 29, 1971, in San Antonio, Texas.
Anyone who knew Cherylanne knew the size of her heart and the depth of her love for those around her. She greeted everyone the same way, with a warm smile and her familiar words, “Hi, honey,” instantly making people feel seen and cared for. Her children and grandchildren were her world and her precious “booboos.” She was the best mom, Nana, and friend, and she gave that love freely and wholeheartedly.
Cherylanne was known for her kindness, her curiosity, and her sense of wonder. Though she faced many struggles throughout her life, she always managed to find a smile to share with others. She was beautiful inside and out, and her personality shone through her unique sense of style, often adorned with her beloved headbands and flower crowns. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cherylanne is survived by her son, Charley Sanford; her daughter, Cheryl Cunningham; her grandchildren, Riley, Boss, Blue, Tay, and Adi and her sister, Debbie Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ann-E.
And in the quiet moments, we will always hear her voice, smiling and hear that familiar: “Hi, honey.”
A Celebration of Cherylanne’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
