Cherylanne Smith, our beloved sister, passed away February 16, 2026 after a short stay in a local hospital. Cherylanne was born with a congenital kidney disease. At the time of her birth, the doctors were not optimistic about her survival. She grew and thrived, but in her teenage years her kidney problems began to manifest as orthopedic problems. Cherylanne had many surgeries to correct these issues. Then dialysis was required. Cherylanne was able to receive a kidney transplant. A second transplant was needed in the years to follow. In spite of her medical challenges, Cherylanne was able to finish high school and attend LDS busines college where she learned medical coding. She worked at the University Medical center as a computer system support person. She also spent time as a service missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Cherylanne loved to create many beautiful sewing projects. Her creations have been enjoyed by many family and friends.
Cherylanne was proceeded in death by her parents Roy B Smith & Bernice Blunck Smith, and her Grandparents Burrell Smith, Leone Richins Smith, George H Blunck and Rosa Schwaar Blunck. Cherylanne is survived by her siblings Dennis,(Pauline), Gregg,(Julie), Lori Anderson,(Larry)
