"Chess" as we all know him, was loved by many families and friends. Everyone probably has a crazy story of him with each respective set of family and friends. He was a crazy part of our lives which brought laughter to each one of us.
He was also a proud tribal member, always asking about history and language. He even had 1-hour sessions with the former language teacher Rochellda Sylestine. He always asked about traditional ways and wanted to learn more. Always full of questions and inquiries.
Chesson would sometimes take part in the powwow circle which he loved so much. Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Eddie always helping him with regalia on his straight dance outfit and getting advice from his late Chofee Clint.
He is deeply loved by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his laugh and making other people laugh. He loved to terrorize and ready to joke around with everyone. Chess never met a stranger, always talking to different people and introducing himself. He like to call himself ICHO NAANI, the one and only.
Chesson had a love for God, he would have deep conversations with his bros about Jesus and was saved while on his spiritual walk. Another thing was he also loved to help others in need. He would ask, "hey can I help you, or what do you need help with?". You could see him in people's yards cleaning and burning for them.
He loved everyone and we all loved him. You'll be truly missed, Chess. Rest on.
He is survived by his mother, Belvia Langley of
Livingston, Texas; brother, Dakota Langley of
Livingston, Texas; sister, Clarissa Taylor of Spurger, Texas; grandmother, Ida Langley of
