Chester H. Clark, 88, of Nederland, Texas, passed away on March 22, 2025, in Galveston, Texas. Born on June 6, 1936, in Elkhart, Texas, Chester lived a life rich with experiences and cherished memories. A proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, Class of 1954, he went on to serve honorably in both the United States Air Force and the Marines, demonstrating a commitment to his country that resonated throughout his life.
Chester had a long and fulfilling career, retiring from Texaco Chemical, but his contributions extended far beyond his professional endeavors. He was deeply engaged in his community and found great purpose serving the Lord as a member of The Temple in Port Arthur, where he served in various capacities, leaving a lasting impact on many lives.
A dedicated family man, Chester was immensely proud of his sons, Steven Clark and his wife, Sharon, and Michael Clark and his wife, Patty. He leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren, Joshua Clark, Rachel Stiles and her husband, Chris, Deborah Clark, Matthew Clark, Christie Peters and her husband, Skylar, and great-grandchildren, Meredith Peters, Graham Peters, and Jesse Stiles. He is also survived by his sister, Katreen Marioneaux, and his beloved dogs, Junior and Tiger.
Chester's warmth and passion for life were evident in his hobbies—he enjoyed woodworking, stayed busy fixing things, and cherished his time participating in Bible studies with his friends. His personality was marked by a deep love for his family and a poignant sense of loss for his late wife, Alice Clark, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Clark and Lora Gay (Martin) Clark, as well as his beloved wife. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit and love for family will continue to resonate in their lives.

Visitation is scheduled for March 28, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM at The Temple located at 4101 TX-73, Port Arthur, TX 77642. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
Chester H. Clark will be remembered for his dedication to family, friendship, and faith, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
