Chester J. Romanowski Jr., 84, of Saxonburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at Concordia, Cabot. He was born Sept. 13, 1941, in Natrona Heights to the late Chester J. and Josephine (Chybrzynski) Romanowski Sr. Chester served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a certified millwright at several area steel mills. Chester was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Natrona Heights. Chester was a lifelong auto racing fan and enjoyed restoring and showing his classic car. Chester is survived by his children, Holly Slezak, of Natrona Heights, and Jeff (Chris) Romanowski, of Franklin; grandchildren, Jacob Romanowski, Morgan Slezak, Isabel Romanowski (Colt Hughes), and Tyler Slezak; sister, Mary Jo Perman, of Rochester, NY; and sister-in-law, Sherry Romanowski, of Hopewell Township. In addition to his parents, Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Linda L. (Mills) Romanowski, on Aug. 24, 2002; brother, Anthony Romanowski; and sister, Patricia L. Yunker. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, in CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025.
