Chet Lee Fragassi

Chet Fragassi, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at his home in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. He was born March 6, 1964, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to his parents, the late Chester Lee Fragassi and Mary Catherine (Przywarty) Fragassi. Chet brought joy and warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A passionate individual, Chet found comfort and happiness in the open road, relishing every moment spent riding his motorcycle. He looked forward to the annual Bike Week in Myrtle Beach, where he formed lifelong friendships and shared many unforgettable memories. Chet was also a loyal supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, often gathering with friends to cheer on his favorite teams. His zest for life was evident in the laughter he fostered during every gathering, making every party an opportunity for connection and joy.

Chet began his career at Three Rivers Bank, where his precision would define his professional journey. He then transitioned to a role as an Air Traffic Controller with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), contributing to the safety and efficiency of countless flights with his exceptional skills and composure under pressure. Eventually, Chet explored various IT and construction positions, showcasing his versatility and dedication to excellence in every endeavor he undertook.

Chet is survived by his sister, Jodi (Greg Beluschak) Shoemaker of Elizabeth, Township, Pennsylvania, and her two sons, Dr. Joshua Shoemaker, and Jared (Aeryn) Shoemaker. He is also survived by his aunts, cousins, and many friends.
