Chi Lun Wang, 59, of Delaware, passed away Tuesday October 22, 2024. Born August 15, 1965, in Rangoon, Burma, to Maung Ling and Betty (Leong) Wang.
His parents made the move to the United States and settled in Delaware, Ohio, when he was 5 years old. Chi graduated from Delaware Hayes High School in 1983. He was a life-long member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Delaware.
Chi was preceded in death by his father, Maung Ling Wang, in March 2023. Left to cherish his memory are his mother Betty; sons Camden and Parker; daughters Averi (Jake), Emmi (Josh) and Lani; grandchildren Hallie and Beckham; brother Chan (Debra) Wang; sister Ming (Steve) Wang; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Photography was Chi's passion since high school. He was a professional photographer for 37 years, owning and operating his own business, Wang Photographic Imaging, in Worthington, Ohio. He was creative and enjoyed making people happy with his photography.
Chi was the eldest child, and followed Chinese traditions by always taking care of his parents first. He was responsible, reliable and quite the handyman, taking care of Betty after his father's death. Chi enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was shooting guns, riding his motorcycle, or taking his boat out. Chi was a dedicated sports fan and enjoyed watching The Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. He was the funny guy, always making friends wherever he went. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family. Chi will be remembered as the loving and caring father, son, and brother that he was.
Friends may join the family on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware Chapel, 101 Valleyside Drive, Delaware, Ohio 43015. Pastor Katie Osier will officiate funeral services for Chi at 11 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2024. Burial will immediately follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware.
