Chi Yuen Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Clawson on Oct. 21, 2024.
Chi Pui Yuen 91, of Troy, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2024. Chi lived his life
with passion and purpose.
Born on November 28, 1932, in Tai Shan, China, Chi embarked on a remarkable journey that took
him from China to Hong Kong, and eventually to America. Once in the U.S., Chi pursued his
entrepreneurial dreams, building a name for himself in the restaurant industry and becoming a
respected figure in the Chinese community.
In his spare time, Chi was a man of routine and passion. He dedicated 40 minutes each day to
exercise, enjoyed reading newspapers and books, and loved spending time with his
grandchildren. Known for his generosity, he was always willing to lend a hand to friends in the
Chinese community. Chi was also a self-proclaimed foodie with a special love for coffee and
desserts, never missing an opportunity to try out new restaurants.
He will be remembered for his hard work, his love of family, and his enduring connection to the
community.
He was a proud father to Linda (Derek), Ken (Ling), Lisi (Nelson), and Ximing. Chi also adored his
four grandchildren-Nicky, Henry, Wendy, and Hailey-who brought him immense joy.
A Celebration of Chi's Life will take place at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd.,
Clawson, Michigan, 48017, at 3pm, on October 26, 2024, where friends and family are invited to
gather and share cherished memories of him beginning at 1pm. Together, we will celebrate his
journey to heaven. Reception to follow.
A burial at Guardian Angels Cemetery, Oakland Twp., will take place at a later time.
