Chiarina Orsini
"Beloved mother, grandmother & great-grandmother"
Chiarina (Rubbo) Orsini, 92, of Watertown, was reunited with her husband in heaven on Friday, October 24, 2025, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife to the late Mario Orsini, who predeceased her in 2014.
Chiarina was born in Pontelandolfo, Benevento, Italy, on October 28, 1932, a daughter to the late Rocco and Antonia (Calabrese) Rubbo. Staying true to her Italian heritage, Chiarina loved tending to her impressive garden, filled with an array of not only vegetables, but stunning flowers, in particular, roses. Family friends would always enjoy eating her homemade taralli and pizza, which she loved making for them. Nothing meant more to Chiarina than her family. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment they spent together.
Chiarina leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Giocondina O'Brien and her husband, Mark, of Spring Hill, FL, Mario Orsini and his wife, Elaine, of Watertown, and Maria Messer and her husband, Keith, of Mahattan, NY. She also leaves behind her six beloved grandchildren, Anthony Cavallo and his wife, Amanda, Nicholas Cavallo and his fiancée, Alexandra Deleon, Isabella Orsini and her fiancé, Shane O'Bar, Vincent Orsini, Riley Messer, Hayden Messer, and her three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Hannah, and Luca Cavallo. She was predeceased by her siblings, Enrico Rubbo, Giambattista Rubbo, Victoria Orsini, and Paulo Rubbo.
