Fred Albino Chicado, affectionately known to all as Chic Chicado or simply Chic, left this world on December 12, 2025. Born on November 29, 1934, in Hysota, Pennsylvania, Chic's life was a journey that was defined by love, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to his family and his work. As William Shakespeare once penned, "We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep." Chic's life goal was to leave every person and place he touched better than he found it, and he did just that.
On June 14, 1958, Chic married the love of his life, Elizabeth Chicado. Together, they built a life in Clinton, Utah, filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Chic's career as a Munitions Specialist and Transportation Manager at HAFB was marked by his commitment and diligence. His dedication to his work was only surpassed by his devotion to his family. He was always there for his loved ones, providing support, laughter, and wisdom. Chic, in every sense of the word, was a pillar of strength and a beacon of light in the lives of those he cherished. He is survived by his spouse, Elizabeth, his daughters Lynda Chicado-Shendow, and Sharon Stone, and his son, Mark Williams Chicado, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren..
Chic was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Chicado, and mother, Albina Chicado. His life was a testament to this quote by Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Chic made people feel loved, valued, and important. His spirit, his love, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.

An inurnment service will be held at Utah Veterans Park on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 12:00 noon, 17111 South 1700 West in Bluffdale, UT.
A Celebration of Life will be held on the following day, Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Elim Lutheran Church, 575 23rd Street, Ogden, UT. (Time to be determined)
