Chico Ok, 55, passed away Friday July 14, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Battambang, Cambodia, he was the son of Horn Ok and the late Sorn Yuem. Chico came to the United States on June 13, 1984 and later on became a Citizen.
Chico was a devout Buddhist. A true family man, you could always find Chico spending time with his family.
He was the best father however; his greatest achievement was being a grandfather. He was always known as the fun and loving grandpa. The grandpa that would spoil them with lots of love, treats and laughter. Chico absolutely loved all 6 of his grandchildren.
A kind soul, Chico would help anyone who needed it. He was a jack of all trades, always fixing anything and everything that needed to be fixed around the house.
Chico is survived by his son, Sothea Ok of Lowell, MA. His three daughters, Sopy Nguyen and her husband Anthony of Lowell, MA, Emmaly Ok and her boyfriend Aaron Sin of Lowell, MA and Emmara Ok and her boyfriend Melesio Perez also of Lowell, MA. His three brothers Vorn Ok, Roung Ok and Saroeut Vorn Ok all of Lowell, MA. His three sisters, Yeng Ok of Stockton, CA, Monoreth Thor Evans of Lowell, MA and Nep Ok of San Jose, CA. His six beloved grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
